Ah! nearly done with Moribito now with having watched episode 22 on Wednesday. Chagum asks
Balsa to teach him to fight after she finishes the story about Jiguro. Also it Shagu learns more about
    the repressed history of Yogo.

Thursday episode 3 of Gunslinger Girl and we now move on to Rico's story. This is a pretty
sad and bittersweet episode; even after reading the manga you aren't prepared for what happens in the end to poor Emilio! Sad
The sadder part is the way Rico reacts when she wakes up the next day as though nothing had happened!

Yep...a lot has to do with the way the conditioning affects the girls' emotionally.

Yep, these things are scary in real life, too. Although, memory altering doesn't work that well, but everything else is very much real. North Korea for example kids get to kill their own parents... Some wake up later others I dunno. And IS and in other places... you don't wanna come across them.

Anyway, came across KissDum. Just another classic like adventure/mystery/alien anime. Interestingly, there was an Macross Frontier variable fighter in the show. Loos like the same designer did it here first before Macross, though.

Friday watched episode 14 of X. So now all the Dragons of Heaven/Seven Seals and all the
Dragons of Earth/Seven Angels are finally gathered together. Kamui is told to take his Divine Sword and
seal it in the center of Clamp School campus; which turns out to be the center of a gigantic pentagram.
Later after questioning by Kamui, Hinoto tells him that she doesn't know if there is a way of restoring
Fuma's personality; she adds even if there were Kamui might still regret it.

Saturday episode 6 of Vividred. The girls go to the beach for summer school. Meanwhile
Keinjiro decides to use the time to put Akane and the others' friendship to the test. And this is the one where we learn that Wakaba really, really, rerally, I mean really can't stand bugs or other
    creepy crawlies! Laughing
Also Himiwara's habit of pushing any button, especially any that say Do Not Push! Laughing
And Akane has to be really dense, since the other girls recognized Rei as their mysterious masked
savior but she remained totally clueless.

Sunday episode 18 of Blassreiter. Despite not being fully prepared Joseph is sent out into the battle and then goes berserk attacking both sides at once(including both Amanda and Sasha!).
Everyone withdraws and Beatrice tells Wolf she no longer considers him useful.
    Amanda in trying to follow Hermann comes across a girl who strangely seems to know who she is;
it's revealed that she happens to be an Amalgam like Malek.
Elsewhere the UN decides on drastic action to stop the spread of the Amalgams.

Post by mitsuki lover on 1/4/2017, 2:34 pm

Monday I re-watched the episode of Rosario x Vampire that introduced our favorite melancholic
Snow Girl Mizore. I forgot just how creepy the whole thing was. And then to top everything off
Inner Moka gives Tsukune a tongue lashing for summoning her for something she thought was
    beneath her.
Oh! And of course Gin gets it in the end for having been peeping on the girls again, even though his
little 'hobby' is what in the end vindicated Mizore's innocence as regard to the 'attack' on the teacher.
And Kagome the snake woman teacher also had a cameo.

Tuesday episode 7 of Wizard Barristers and the Butterfly Law Office goes to Boston to
observe the American version of wizard law practice. Later Cecil and Hotaru (reluctantly) go on a road trip by themselves to visit the former's family in Canada.
On the way they pick up a Japanese girl who is an exchange student. Hotaru actually lets her hair down with the stranger and she and Cecil begin to bond. Cecil even reveals the reason for her wanting to be a Wizard Barrister in the first place.
In the end though they wind up in a diner where a wanted fugitive has also just arrived.

At long last we get to see Hotaru being human and her ice queen exterior melting away.
This episode puts her on my top 3 list of favorites along with Quinn and Cecil.

I went and looked for new anime but nothing seem to satisfy me.

Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt - December Sky is out on BD. Need to know about all the 4 episodes before I can decide to get it or not. That 1st one isn't enough.

Well, maybe I'll look at a certain butt hitting anime that seems to have captures lots of people.

I'm still waiting for my December order to get here. It seems it went from Des Moines to Chicago and then back to Des Moines. I hope it doesn't come the same time that Akame Ga Kill Part 1 does.
Or worse the same time as part 1 and part 2!

Wednesday I watched episode 23 of Moribito and so now am only 3 eps left to the series.
It's been an interesting watch to say the least. Shagu and his men have caught up with Balsa and the others as they continue the journey to the Land of Feasting. Meanwhile a new discovery back in Yogo has Shagu's old friend the Royal Tutor sending a messenger post haste with the last of the
scrolls for him to decipher. Going to be a crucial final three episodes to see what the fate of
Chagum and the others will be.

Thursday saw episode 4 of Gunslinger Girl. This turned out to be a Triela episode. I need to get the entire series, but I think Triela has now gotten the lead of possible favorite character.
Interesting look that Mario gives her when she tells him she doesn't know who her parents were but only that she was found in Amsterdam.( Is she Dutch?)
So far except for maybe a few scenes it's basically been the same as the manga.
    Which wasn't too bad either!

I'm hearing amazon has plans for a large Zeppelin (now that It's finally available) transport with drones as well as a normal transporter with drones. The FAA hasn't sorted out all the rules and regulation yet. Although it seems California is or working on approving. I dunno I still think average joe shouldn't have such large scale access to airspace.

    Coppelion
I though it was made after a certain manga but it's not. It's about 3 genetically designed girls who are send into a radioactive zone (Tokyo) to seek out and rescue survivors from the accident many years ago.
It's an anime about purpose of life and being human. It may not be that apparent and most likely not for everyone.

Well I have to check on the progress again to see if it's still sitting in Des Moines or has finally gotten away.
It was supposed to be here on the 4th of January but so far it's a week overdue. Evil or Very Mad

Friday I watched episode 15 of X. This was Daisuke's story. At the end he dies.

Saturday episode 7 of Vividred. The girls have a study party to help Akane pass finals and
decide to include Rei. She decides to do some snooping and gets whacked by Wakaba after she
discovers Akane's grandfather's body in the fridge. Then all heck falls apart as the Alone attack
    again.

Sunday episode 19 of Blassreiter final arc. Hermann and Amanda's last confrontation with
Wolf. Al sees the names of the XAT members on Amanda's paladin and recovers his memory and then later on takes his own life.

I'm giving the original Japanese version an A- and the English dub a B+ .

Monday episodes 20 and 21 of Neo-Ranga. The first one involves one of Yuuhi's classmates who has a girl crush on her. The second continues the government conspiracy against Ranga and the sisters.

Tuesday episode 8 of Wizard Barristers. Cecil and Hotaru finally meet Cecil's dad, but Kaede
turns out to have been a plant in order to help destroy the Butterfly Law Office and get Cecil
to reveal more of her hidden power.
    So Tento is behind it?

btw: I remember reading on the wiki that one of the female members of the law firm was supposed to be really Satan in disguise but I thought it was Ageha.

Need to re-read the wikia I guess, but the way it is they seem to be pointing in Tento's direction unless that happens to be red herring.
Then again the whole Kaede thing certainly took me for a loop.

Wed. saw episode 24 of Moribito and now everyone knows that they're in the wrong place since the messenger arrived with the final tablets.Meanwhile Balsa and Tanda's group have discovered that the only way to have any actual physical contact with the creatures after Chagum is to eat the lotus like flowers the same as he did. It's the only way they can actually kill them before they kill Chagum and eat the egg.

Th. episode 5 of Gunslinger Girl. This was Claes' story and tells why she's the only one that doesn't have a handler and is so left when the others go on missions. The news of Ravalo's death
seems to have traumatized her to the extact that she wiped all her memories of him.
This is the first episode that I've seen that wasn't in the first volume of the manga.
Overall this is definitely a series I would think of getting at least the rest of the first season.

Saturday episode 8 of Vividread. The rest of the girls have to go into battle without
    Akane.

Sunday episode 20 of Blassreiter. Joseph is activated in order to face off against the
Demoniac Army and battles Beatrice; Xardin and Sasha are reunited.

Akame Ga Kill part 1 came in the mail today and I will start that on February 1. I'm going to
order part 2 after I get paid at the end of this month.

Monday I watched two episodes of Asagiri no Miko/ Shrine of the Morning Mist. In the first one
Chisa has to have tutoring from Yuzu's sister because she's failing in Japanese literature. Then when
the other girls can't get out during an attack it's up to the two of them to defeat the enemy; in the end though Chisa does worse than before!
In the second the Dark Priestesses are forced into a open confrontation after all their failures.
And then a giant demon captures Yuzu before anyone can do anything to save her.

Tuesday episode 9 of Wizard Barristers. Cecil starts to look for answers as to why her mother was framed; and then she is nearly captured by Lt. Shimizu on orders from the cult( what's with the whole eyeball thing? Is Moyoyon really that crazy about eyeballs? I mean since she's really Lucifer.)
So at least one of the partners in the other law firm is looking out for Cecil.
Also the Chief Justice goes public on giving the right to work in public offices to Wuds. But
Quinn is still unaware that her partner is a secret Wizard.

Well new Prez so new Avvie...this time a thoughtful looking Asuka...if that's possible! Laughing

Wed.: episode 25 of Moribito only finale left and then I can start Akame Ga Kill. Very Happy
I really enjoyed it overall, even though there were some parts that seemed a bit slow at times.
Overall after seeing most of it now I give it an A. Interesting to see how the relationship between
Balsa and Chagum grows throughout it. Also Chagum's own personal growth. I still think he'll make a
great Mikado when it's his turn to take over the throne.

Th. re-started NOIR and this time the dub which I hadn't seen for a longish time.
I'm irked that it seems Funi didn't seem to keep the ED "Beautiful Emotion" or it could be my imagination not having watched the dub for quite some time; but it did seem they had an entirely
different ED at then end (like I said it might just be my imagination, and also I wasn't in a good mood any way).

The next dub I will be watching will be Kiddy Grade after finishing Blassreiter.

The ratio of subs to dubs so far is 5-1 in favor of subs but it will probably change once I start
re-watching shows I've already watched in Japanese.

Friday episode 17 of X this was mainly a recap episode, with only the beginning and ending
    featuring any new scenes.

Saturday episode 9 of Vividred Himiwari gets discovered by a modeling agency; Wakaba becomes her 'personal maid' for the day when she forgets about a promise.

Great Himiwari qoute: " Waka..Butthead!" Laughing
yeah don't piss off our favorite nerd girl!

    Sunday episode 21 of Blassreiter Amanda and Hermann finally find and rescue Malek;
Xardin gets his revenge on the Commander. And this is the episode where we find out that the
connection between Mei-Fong and the Commander (and the one where she goes all batshit
    crazy at the end.)

    Granblue Fantasy the animation
of the game of the same name.
A mysterious girl is being chased by the Empire. A young boy happens upon her...
Its Final Fantasy art is hard to ignore. I dunno about the game but the anime isn't appealing to me. The script seems too simplistic. It's probably aimed at a younger audience, something in the 8-12 year range.
It's been a while since there was a female hero general (FFIV?)

    Haecceitas no Hikari (Chain Chronicle)
another fantasy game to anime show.
The show starts at the end of the final battle between evil and good. The battle goes south and the evil king releases his final magic...
I'm not into gambling or card type of game so I can't tell much.
It's a fantasy magic adventure anime type of show. Notice how the continent resembles Great Britain. It does have some mix of medieval japanese elements.

Remember Memories from about two decades ago? The one with the space scavenger story, smell guy story, and War city dystopia story.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memories_(1995_film)

Now there's another similar collection called "Short Peace". The stories aren't as good:
    -Abstract Alice in wonderland story
    -Ghost story a la Kaidan
-tragic end of a childhood couple
    -the girl and the bear
-scavengers in a desert that was once Tokyo (best action etc.)

Can't say that I do. I only really got into anime around 2001.

Monday re-watched .hack//sign episode where they start to look for the Twilight Ring.
I always liked it more than .hack//Legend.

Tuesday episode 10 of Wizard Barristers so the Shark Knights were set up basically to watch over and protect Cecil which explains why they were so adamant about her joining their firm. They also know something about Moyo because of the warning at the end not to trust her.

Quinn gets some last bit of badassery by trying to defy Shimuzu even though he easily wipes the floor with her.

And speaking of Shimuzu looks like he is having second thoughts about his own allegiances.

Well done with Moribito, it was a great series and the ending was interesting as you knew something was up when Shagu's men told Balsa and the others to use the other gate. So now Balsa
heads home. I have a feeling this is where the second book probably starts off with, I mean Balsa's
return to Kabal. Wouldn't be too surprised since otherwise it would just seem to be hanging there
    with her on the road.

Thursday episode 2 of NOIR. I was in a better mood so enjoyed it more. Also it helped that this time around they actually ended with Beautiful Emotions, I'm still pissed that for some reason it was left off last week at the end of episode 1.
Anyways this is the episode where Mireille and Kirika are hired by a terrorist faction to take down
a rival and a dirty cop who's working with them.
Best use of shades for a weapon EVER!

Oh...yeah! Akame next week! "Esdeath is coming....!"

Tonight is one of my non-anime nights and so I plan on watching the DS9 ep.:
    Tribbles and Tribbilations. Laughing
Seriously why don't they air it back to back with the original:The Trouble With Tribbles
after all we do get a look at who or whom was dumping all those dead tribbles on poor Captain Kirk.
Which leads to the question: if the Defiant hadn't been taken back in time would Kirk had been
deluged with all those tribbles in the first place or in other words.was Sisko and company's presence in the past part of the original time line?

    Anyhows:
Friday episode 18 of X this was pretty sad as Inuki gets killed protecting Yusuriha from
Satuski's attack. Later when Fuma/Kamui attacks her it gives birth to Inuki II.
Kusanagi still is yet to reveal to her that he is a Dragon of Earth.

btw: Yusuriha should never get into a philosophical debate with Satuski has is shown in the episode.

Saturday episode 10 of Vividred Akane and Rei look like they're about to become BFFs
when the Alone attack again. This time they've learned that someone has been helping the Alone.
Rei is caught has she tries to flee, and unfortunately Akane is the one to show up. This leads
Rei to add 2 and 2 and get 5 accusing Akane of pretending to want to be friends while in reality
she and her friends really were spying on her.

Sunday episode 22 of Blassreiter A double whammy when it comes to characters dying as both Hermann and Beatrice get killed off after their battle. It also reveals Beatrice's background
and why she is so loyal to Xardin. Earlier Sasha gave Amanda the key to stopping Xardin.

So since I watched DS9 on Monday Wizard Barristers episode 11 was the first anime I've watched this week.In it Cecil is captured by Shimzu and taken to where the Makulu are holding their
coven. Moyo/Lucifer temporarily merges with her and tells Shimzu's father that his attempts to use her power are useless since she was already called down when Cecil was 11. Before Lucifer can fully
fuse with Cecil Shimzu interfers. He is killed protecting her and it is revealed that the Chief Justice was the one behind everything.
Cecil uses her Diaboloid to fight him and they take it to the strastophere. When the mecha start to
break up they both start to fall but Cecil suddenly grows wings. She rescues the Chief Justice
telling him that he needs to face a court of law for his crimes.

At the end of the episode Cecil learns that the Chief Justice wants her to represent him in court.
As she starts to leave she hears the rustling of wings.

It was interesting that Moyo/Lucifer showed such interest in Cecil that she was willing to resusitate
Quinn. But she adds: " I'm only doing this for Cecil's sake..."

Been wondering though if Moyo was simply a disguise that Lucifer created six years before or if there was a real Moyo who was unlucky enough to be possessed by Lucifer.

Episode 1 of Akame Ga Kill on Wednesday night. Nice twist to it when Tatsumi is shown the true nature of his 'benefactors' and then pushes Akame aside so he can deliver the killing blow after his friend dies. That was one sadistic little bitch to torture and kill another girl like that simply because her hair was silkier and she was 'only a commoner' .
I loved the way Tatsumi kept referring to Leonode as "Melons"... Laughing Laughing Laughing

Episode 3 of NOIR on Thursday. The girls are hired to take down a man named Duxl but it turns out to be a trap as they are the real target. Kirika continues to show her epic skills with the use of the popcorn. It's gonna to be interesting to watch what happens when the final rolls around and it's Kirika vs. Mirielle.

I have looked up some statistic on new animes to help quickly decide which one to check. The numbers are pretty low across the board. Gundam Iron Blooded Orphan's 2nd seems to live on the hardcore people only.

Anyway, since I haven't seen some fantasy anime I picked one it turned out to be a good hit:

Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo
A boy dies an embarrassing death and is given a choice to start living (not reborn) in another parallel world where the population is seriously declining (because life is miserable nobody wants to reincarnate there).
It's a hilarious funny show and nothing else. It's written very similar to "Is This a Zombie?". You should at least have seen it.

Seirei no Moribito - live action
    Season 2 Ep.1
It starts with a mysterious scrifice scene. Balsa is travelling in another country when she gets involved with these people's belief...
The episode is less grand than the first season and more like your ordinary show.

Seirei no Moribito - live action
    Season 2 Ep.2of9
Tanda and Balsa are on the run after taking in Asla/Asura & Chikisa, Talu children. The Talu are a minory suppressed and exploited by the people of Rota Kingdom.

They are attacked by the Kashal, secret royal shamans, and get separated.
Meanwhile, Chogum & Shuga are sent with a single ship with his grandfather Tosa to support the Sangal Kingdom in the war against the Talsh Empire. Chogum secretly meets the king of Rota to negotiate an alliance, against his father's will. He's told they are undecided whether to join the Talsh or him. The Sangal commander Olran takes them prisoner as offering to the Talsh. Grand admiral Tosa goes down with his ship rather than being captured.
This episode finally lifts a few things left untouched in episode 1. EP.1 was not well scripted or directed toward people not having read the novels. Ep.2 also has returned to the quality seen in season 1, although slightly less grand. Chogun is depicted as still a naive young man. Jinto is at least ten-twenty points smarter.
