Friday episode 2 of Utakata, Manatsu turns out not to be a morning person as Ichika gets her
up to go to radio exercise class. There they meet her friend Maki who introduces them to her new
boyfriend Ryou. Ryou turns out to be a bit of a lech as he attempts to ask Ichika out, but she runs.
Manatsu guides her to a place where Ichika can call on the power of the next Djinn: the moon Djinn
Luna. Ichika uses Luna's power to illuminate the park and Kai sees it.
He comes to Ichika's rescue and beats Ryou up.
    Maki comes and Kai stops.
He realizes as he tells Ryou that she really does love him so he better behave in the future.
Ichika and Manatsu use Luna's power to fly home...

Note: It's established in this episode that Saya has been living near Ichika's family for at least the
last six years since Kai and Sei mention it has been six years since the spell was cast. Probably meaning since Kai underwent his own trials at the hands of the Djinn. It's also established that
Saya has some sort of connection to the fashion industry..

Saturday episode 11 of xxxHOLIC Watanuki is upset when he learns that Himawari is out of town because he can't give her the rice ball he made for her.Doumeki eats it instead which makes
him go full throttle Watanuki! Laughing
A mystery blue hair girl arrives and takes the rice ball from Doumeki's stomach and he faints.
Yuko tells Watanuki that he has to retrieve it before the sun goes down or...
After a lot of the usual Watanuki/Monoka comedy routine they finally catch up to the girl, who
actually wants to give it to him because she has a crush on Watanuki.
But the Water Sprite from episode 7 shows up and tells her that she got the holidays all confused
and Watanuki finds out the girl is actually an apprentice sprite.
Doumeki is restored to normal and only later does Watanuki learn that Himawari had mailed his
postcard in care of Yuko! Laughing Laughing Laughing

Sunday episode 23 of Kiddy Grade Eclair and Lumiere take a wounded Chevalier and
Drveger in search of safety but Alv keeps blocking their path. Finally they're shot down a
hole in the corridor they're in but manage to lift the other two out before hand.
It turns out they are in the same collector chamber that had dispersed Alv's body earlier and she
uses the same process on them.
Chief Eclipse attacks followed by the rest of the ES members.
Their attacks seem not to do to much damage to Alv, but then a sudden surprise:the clones
of Eclair and Lumiere return and do their part.
While this is going on everyone is surprised by developments in the collection chamber ans
Eclair and Lumiere reappear, with Lumiere in her adult form!..

Monday re-watched Last Exile raw. Labie goes to the races and a fight breaks out between
the Silvana crew and a crew of another ship. To settle it the harbor master proposes a duel between ships. The boastful aristocrat who captains the other ship attempts to cheat by firing before the signal is given.
Then it's the Silvana's turn and they win the duel sinking the other ship, which had a reputation of always fleeing in the heat of combat.

Tuesday episode 24 of Suzuka Suzuka easily wins her bracket and moves on to the Nationals.
Now everyone waits for Yamato. He's sure he can win even though he's not quite used to the new style of running.
Unfortunately as he admits later he blanks out and comes in last.
Not only that but he disappoints in the relay as well dropping the baton. At home he feels depressed. Suzuka brings some eggs over to poach and he tells her he would've confessed again if he had won.
She runs out because memories of Kazuki.
Miho comes by later and tells him Suzuka's missing so he goes out and searches for her as does
    Mikki...

Wed. episode 01 of Pilot Candidate while the others start looking for Zero, the link between the White Ingird and Zero is completed. He remembers the first time he saw 'her' during an Victim attack on his colony. She saved him when the shield over the colony partially failed and he was sucked out into space and nearly died.
Victim attacks and the Ingrids are ordered out but Zero doesn't know how to pilot and so 'she'
automatically aborts and lets him out dazed and confused.

Th. episode 2 of Celestial Method the first day of school for Nonoka and she is almost late,

When Nonoka asks why she hates it so much Yuzuki describes what life was like before.
Nonoka decides to join the cause in good fun.
Later when Noel meets her she tells her about the Anti-Disk Club and she also decides to join.

Friday episode 3 of Utakata, Manastu meets the rest of Ichika's friends as they go to the beach. While there they visit the cafe managed by Satsuki's older brother. He needs help and so the girls volunteer.Later during their last swim Ichika looses the watch her father gave her. Satsuki's
brother says such a watch is worth several hundred thousand yen, which shocks the girls and they
try to look for it but fail.
Ichika and Manatsu then look for it on their own with Ichika using the power of the Sea Djinn to find it.
    Everyone makes it home tired.
Note: Saya notices Michiru's spiritual ability and decides she'll have to do something to make sure
    she doesn't ruin the testing.

Saturday episode 12 of xxxHOLIC and yet another beach episode. The gang heads for the beach as Yuko has rented a beach house for the weekend. Of course Watanuki gets stuck with
    all the chores.
He notices a blue flower in a blue vase in the kitchen as he's looking around.
Later in the night he hears a noise and discovers a hidden room. A ghostly figure grabs him as he
finds blue writting on a blue wall.
His screams wake everyone up and Doumeki tells him he should have asked for help.
The next day it's revealed the whole thing was Himawari's idea after hearing of an urban legend.
She thought if Watanuki asked for help he wouldn't be so worried about swimming.
But as Watanuki turns to look at the house again he sees a ghostly figure NOT Mokona standing by the window.
I could say something about how sexy Yuko looks like in a swimsuit here..but I shall desist. Laughing

Sunday episode 24 the finale of Kiddy Grade Lumiere reveals that her true power is
Particle which is how she and Eclair were able to return. However using it is very taxing and she soon returns to her default child form.
The battle against Alv isn't over yet and the GOTT is having trouble.
Lumiere tries to use her Puppet power once more but doesn't have the strength.
Eclair comes up with a plain by which she uses her power with the aid of Donnerslagen to give
Lumiere a boost. It works but drains Eclair.
The other ES members are able to finish off Alv.
Drvger decides to go be with her daughter to the end but before she does she uses her power
    Transmission to heal Eclair.
Later things are back to normal with a few differences: the commoners are now eligible for membership in the Galactic Senate and a inquiry into the events of the past few months has started.
It ends with an epilogue where Eclaire states she will try not to repeat the mistakes of the past.
Note, IIRC there is no such dialogue in the Japanese version. Will have to wait to see when I re-watch the sub some time from now.

Yamato shows up and Honoka tells him where Suzuka went and he chases after her.

Friday episode 4 of Utakata Ichika's mom signs up Manatsu so that she can go to
summer school camp along with Ichika. On the bus she meets ichika's friends Tomoko and
    Yuko.
When they get to the camp the four girls and Michiru are assigned the same cabin.
Manatsu is bored during study time and the teacher gets on her for not wanting to study.
Later Yuko and Tomoko meet a couple of high school boys camping nearby and make a date with them; but during the night Tomoko disappears.
Saya turns this into Ichika's next challenge.
Using the Rain Djinn Ichika and Manatsu find and rescue Tomoko who makes them promise not to tell on what happened.

Saturday episode 13 of xxxHOLIC. This episode revolves around a quiet girl in one of Watanuki's classes. She is usually very polite and considerate, but then Watanuki sees wings start to sprout on her. The wings make her change personality until she acts like a bully around everyone.
Watanuki accidentally picks up a feather and when he gets back to Yuko's shop the pipe fox reacts
negatively to it. Yuko warns him to watch his back.
Later he and Doumeki meet the girl again and she acts even more aggressively. Doumeki tells her to apologize but she won't.
Then the wings come off and start to follow Watanuki. The pipe fox jumps out and turns into its true form of a nine tails fox and attacks.
Later Yuko reveals that it was a fallen angel, a spiritual parasite that feeds on negative emotions.

Sunday episode 1 of Wish Upon The Pleiades Subaru is looking forward to the meteor shower.
When she gets to the school's observatory it has changed into an arboretum and there's a strange boy there. They talk and Subaru goes out again. When she comes back both the arboretum and boy have vanished. She wonders if it were a dream, but it's too rainy to see the stars.
Next day she's walking to school when she spots her friend Aoi and another girl.
Later in school a strange blob creature seems to bounce all around her before stealing her compass.
She chases it to a room that is supposedly guarded by a magic ward but when she gets inside she finds Aoi and three other girls all dressed oddly.
They're surprised that she can see them and then explain that the blob is their president: an alien from the Pleiades cluster, and they're helping him find the parts of his spaceship's engine. But so far they haven't had any luck.
Suddenly Subaru's compass becomes a rod and takes off with her.
The other girls follow and after yet another failure, with Subaru's help finally manage to capture a piece of the engine but the boy from before shows up and takes it away.
However a small piece of it has lodged on top of Subaru's head...

Note:Aoi seems to have a grudge against Subaru as she accuses her of leaving her behind.

Alright, major summary to catch up on what I saw even if I didn't go through with them all.

    Re-Creators
Anime/manga heroes are transported into our reality and cause a conflict of natural law which threaten to undo the universe.
This one is in the vein of anime/manga creator type of show. It's so-so but might be something for hardcore fans I guess. The OP is nice and sounds familiar, like a put-together piece of several good ones. Not really worth watching but still leaning on the better acceptable side.

    Koi to Uso
In a future Japan, it has become the law to marry off people when they come of age to a partner chosen by the system. A romance type of anime with an utopian background. It's so-so leaning toward the lesser side.

    Isekai Shokudou
A restaurant which every 7 days opens its door to a fantasy world in many different places.
50% of the time its about food the other 50% are short stories. I kind of like the short stories but it's just that. The show is very well drawn, quality is top and above today's average, but about the same as good ones 5-10 years ago (~NGE movies).

    Gundam Build Fighters Battlogue
    Meh, just another Gunpla show.

    Sagrada Reset
The world turns out to be a dream world of a girl who's in a coma. I don't know the detail since I'm kind of on and off. And the show still continues. It remains dry but I guess it's not so bad if you like this kind of logic/mystery/detective/puzzle show. But even for me it's too dry most of the time despite of the actions.

    Vatican Kiseki Chousakan
About Vatican miracle investigators. Basically, a detective show. The first story involves virgin mother which turns out to be a huge Nazi plot to revive Hitler etc. within support from within the church. This has blood and gore leaning toward horror.
Edit: 2nd story is another bet between an angel and a devil, about the human heart. The devil puts his human son to the test by granting him 1000 wishes.

    Shoukoku no Altair
Basically another version of Legend of Arslan, set in osmanian turkey with an european conflict. It's a different world and the map is disfigured. It's more toward the lower end for these kind of show and kind of more for the younger audience. But as such a show it's a good show, though.

Shingeki no Bahamut - Virgin Soul
Continues where the original show left of. Doesn't look much better but seems to be popular with the younger audience. It's so-so imho watchable but not really worth it.

    Knight's & Magic
A mecha otaku is killed and is reborn in a medieval magical world which employs mecha used by knights. With his latent knowledge he revolutionizes the mecha world (without considering the consequences). This is probably the best show of the season and has the viewer numbers to show.
Somewhat leans toward the younger audience, though. And it kind of reminds of classics or so the mixture gives me that impression.

    Konbini Kareshi
This is the highschool romance show of the season I guess. But far from the level I would go for. Don't missunderstand it's not bad, just not good enough for me.

So so far this season looks a bit meh is what you're saying? No real stand outs?

Monday watched Samurai Champloo for my raw Monday view. Saw the episode in which
Jin meets and falls for the woman whose husband sells her to a brothel to meet his gambling debts.
Always the gentleman samurai, Jin tries to help her escape her fate.
The secondary story was about Mugin trying to make money on beetle wrestling.
Seriously Fuu's the only one of the three that has any marketable skills as a waitress.

Tuesday episode 26 and finale of Suzuka and speaking of high school rom coms: this one took the full series for Suzuka to admit she even likes Yamato. And we don't even get to that until the very end when she takes him back home with her so she can have a little talk to Kazuki when she's visting his grave one final time. While she's at it she lists all of Yamato's bad qualities and the fact that they fight a lot, but she still likes him.
The ending shows them walking to school hand in hand.

Final thoughts: this was a really fun show with a lot of great characters. It was nice to watch a series that revolved around normal people for a change. Also Honoka may have been a better choice overall for Yamato than Suzuka, but I think Suzuka ends up being the right choice for him.

    Next week on to K-ON!

Wed. episode 03 of Pilot Candidate which is really the fourth episode since it starts with
    episode 00.
The boys get through their orientation and physicals. The nurses find something odd about Zero.
Hiead, Zero and Clay end up being room mates.
The other Repairer Candidates want Kinza to go with them to check out the guys, but she reminds them they'll have plenty of time.
Zero and the others get into trouble when they're late because they went to a off limits part of the
    GOA to watch combat practice...
Next week the Pilot and Repairer Candidates finally meet..which means finally Kinza and Zero! Very Happy

Th. episode 4 of Celestial Method Yuzuri is pissed when Nonoka reminds everyone they all
wished for the Disk together. So Yuzuri goes back to protesting on her own,but later Noel joins her.
Turns out her main reason for the protest is because she misses the fireworks.
Sato has a long talk with Nonoka about leaving Japan to study abroad.
He tells her Yuzuri has always been that way since the Disk appeared.
Yuzuri and Koharu have a fight because the former is causing a disturbance in the parking lot of
    the latter's family shop.

Yeah, most show aren't worth not saying they are that bad. Besides it's now summer vacation in Japan.
Code Blue season 3 just started so I'm served.
    Continuing the list:

    Atom the beginning
In the end it's a collection of minor life stories and everyday life. It's ok. The only part that was a bit more interesting was the highschool rescue robot competition.

    Clockwork Planet
Short lived story with unresolved parts. It does seem to be made for moe/tsundere and the like fans.

    DanMachi Gaiden - Sword Oratoria
2nd season of DanMachi(Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka=Is it wrong to pick up girls in a dungeon)
The story is retold from Ais Wallensteins (& Lefiya) point of view. Seems to be made for fans of the female characters. Didn't watch half of it. The thing I don't like is that there are suddenly a bunch of level 6 and some Lv.7 adventurers, where as before lv.6 was extremely rare such that's it's like a miracle to achieve it.

    Gin no Guardian
The story got lost somewhere including me. It became a kind of other world game.

    Seikaisuru Kado
In the end it turned to be more of an introduction to understanding higher dimension for average joes. The higher being turns out to be aiming for getting human kind to his dimension to harness their wealth of information & potential of creating more. He is opposed by an observer who was born as a human. She for some reason got a child with our protagonist. While he fights (distract) the being she uses the universe creation tool to fast forward time. As the fights ends their daughter shows up. Having become a higher level being (for some reason) she defeats him easily. And then appears to go her own way somewhere and all's well on Earth with everything given by the higher beings gone dormant/dead.

Shingeki no Kyojin=Attack On Titan Season 2
It ends with the realization that Titans are other humans and that there's the other human faction.
Meh, didn't get far from what I said at the beginning.

    Musekinin Galaxy Tylor
2000 years after Irresponsible Captain Tylor, the Earth Federation and Raalgon Empire are gone, presumely forming the Pan Galaxy Republic which has declined and so have many empires. Reincarnate Banjou picks up a frozen girl who's Goza 168th. The show does make a cameo scene from Bodacious Space Pirates.
Totally meh. It's a parodist comedy in a short anime format. It may be something for (weird) japanese otakus but trash for me.

I haven't seen either Irresponsible Captain Tylor or Bodacious Space Pirates so have nothing to compare the latter to.
Yeah Attack on Titan did reach meh! levels once the "big surprise" was unveiled about the Titans.
Found out yesterday there was a sequel to Suzuka called Fuuka about Yamato and
    Suzuka's eldest daughter.

Friday episode 5 of Uta Kata the girls return to the beach to see some fire works.
Satsuki meets a boy she knew in elementary school and he promises to meet her, but instead he
    takes off with Keiko.
Satsuki goes off to find them and Manatsu and Ichika summon the next Djinn.
It turns out the boy likes Keiko and Satsuki sees them kissing; Ichika and Manatsu also see it,but since they're using the power of the Djinn they can't reveal it to Satsuki.
Later when they do meet her she tries to act all cool but breaks down and cries on Ichika's
    shoulders.

Saturday episode 14 of xxxHOLIC Yuko and Watanuki go shopping and see twin girls.
They act direct opposites even though they're identical. Later Watanuki runs into the older twin
looking for her contacts. He tries to help but she tells him not to bother and he senses something wrong. He tells Yuko and she tells him that yes, the twins are human.
Later Watanuki and Doumeki meet the younger twin at the fast food place she works at,and end up on a group date with her and her sister.
The quartet go to the movies and the older twin wishes to end it and then something falls off her
forehead and looks like blood spilling and her eyes go blank...

Sunday episode 2 of Wish Upon the Pleiades so Subaru and Aoi seem to make up on the way to school. When they get there they both claim the same desk; fortunately Itsuki shows up with an
extra desk, and then the other girls show up. The odd thing is that neither the teacher nor any of the others think it strange that they're all there.
After much interruption the President tells the girls about the Fate Lines. This means that some time all of them had met which is why they keep meeting each other.
Subaru goes into the observatory to return the key and meets the boy again. He says he's Minto and wants to be her friend.
Much of the rest of the episode is Subaru learning to fly.
Later the girls try to capture a part of the engine which turn out to be two separate parts but the same mystery boy takes them away from them.
Back at the school the others reveal their meeting place and that they are going to be the Cosplay
    Club has their cover!

It didn't think much of Fuuka and as a result didn't made the connection.

Anyway, new shows I've looked at

Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomo ni ~with my smartphone in another world
based on novels: Kami-sama made a mistake and droped something on Touya Mochizuki, killing him.
As apology he is reborn in a magical fantasy alternative world, with super abilities as a bonus, and his smartphone to call Kami-sama or surf the net back home or access all information of both worlds plus godly search powers.
Basically a culmination of all recent other world animes with a tint of ecchiness. Since when do (RPG game) slim disolve clothing (unless in a H game)? It's so-so ok. Dunno if it's worth it.

    Enmusubi no Youko-chan
    Meh.
Another chinese anime. It seems a chinese company hired a japanese animation studio. Somewhat better than all that came before but it didn't get rid of the typical (crappy) chinese setting construct.

    Space Battleship Yamato 2202
Remake of season 2. Same story but slightly different scenes. Same as the first remake only this time some of the designs are like from Yukikaze/Macross by a certain designer.
    Can't ditch it.

hmmm...so as regards to Fuuka stick with Suzuka instead.

Monday watched the finale of You're Under Arrest for my Monday Raw night.
Funny how Animego ended the usual warning about video piracy with: "in other words:
'You're Under Arrest!'" trying to be a bit too cute there.
Anyways this is the episode where they finally end up busting the car theft ring, thanks to Miyuki
not following orders but going with her gut instinct instead.
btw: I read somewhere between the last time I saw it and Monday that Aoi is actually transgendered.Which makes sense because when I watched what I had the first time around I was wondering about why she looked a bit masculine when compared to the other women.

Tuesday episode 1 of K-On! S 1. Yui starts her first week in high school and gets so nervous she actually misreads the clock and gets there early. She's inundated by requests to join various clubs but can't decide. Meanwhile Ritsu corrals Mio into joining the Lite Music Club, but they learn
it's being disbanded because all the members have graduated.
They learn this from the teacher the same time Yui shows up:instant impression:"She's a Ditz and a Klutz!" Laughing
Eventually Tsugumi shows up and Ritsu nabs her to be part of the club even though her intent is to join the choir club(Mio wanted to join the literature club).
They need one more to be the guitarist and keep the club going and Yui shows up because she wants to tell them in person she decided not to join; but Ritsu and the others decide to get her
to join by playing for her.
Afterwards she says they're really, really, really terrible but she'll join any way because they
    look like they're having fun.
Now the only problem is to get Yui and guitar and help her to learn to play.

The OP and ED are really fun. The OP has that entire Beatles thing going at one point (is Abbey Road the most copied/parodied album cover or what?) and as far as the ED the entire Goth thing
was interesting. Though Mio really stands out with her being a melancholic and having black hair.
(Ritsu btw is pretty much the Choleric of the group.)
