Episode 6 of the Magic Users Club OVA on Wed. Sae manages to get some self-confidence thanks to Jeff-kun who vanishes after giving her a final round of advice. Then she frees the others by
using her magic to turn the aliens' space ship into a tree.
Pretty fun and so now think maybe the tv series just to get more Sae! Laughing

Episode 9 of Devil Lady on Thursday. This is creepy in any language since it's the one about the security guy who turns into the Eye Creature. Jun's confidence is pretty low and so Asuka is pretty pissed at her.Meanwhile the investigative reporter chasing Jun has a meet with Kazumi while pretending to work for her dad.

I think it's a lot more melancholic watching the scenes with Kazumi in them now knowing her ultimate fate.

Friday episode 7 of Ikki-tousen:Dragon Destiny: this was basically split into two distinct parts.
In the first part the school gets attacked by a deadly female combatant and Hakufu and a still injured
Ryomou rush to the aid of their friends and classmates. Ryomou relates her past encounter with the same fighter and remembers back to when she received her dragon.
In the second part Kan'u and her disciples are at a shrine festival when they are ambushed and attacked by a group of what look to be monks.

Saturday episode 19 of Angelic Layer: Misaki's first battle in the Nationals is against a girl named Chitose who hates the fact that she is tall because "boys like short girls because they think
they're cute." Chitose accuses Misaki of using her small height as an excuse to fall back on when
    "you loose".
Misaki tries to tell her that height doesn't make any difference, but Chitose won't listen.
The game is being played during an electrical storm and the rule is the water is out of bounds(it's on a schooner style sailing ship). But just when Chitose's angel is about to fall in Misaki has Hikaru rescue her. That convinces Chitose that Misaki ir right and they fight on with Hikaru winning, but Misaki makes another new friend in Chitose.
Later Chitose meets the boy she was talking to before the contest and blushes when she realizes he likes her.

Sunday Detective Conan episode 83: the kids come across a hobo with amnesia while playing baseball in the park.He escapes from the hospital he was taken to and the next day playing baseball again, George tumbles over him. They go to see his widow and Conan notices that she already has
a mourning portrait up even though he was just murdered.
It turns out that he was a banker who fled from prosecution over embezzling charges and was declared dead after an avalanche.
But there doesn't seem to be any evidence to support Conan's suspicions so he uses a ruse to get
Inspector Meguire and Detective Moore back to the residence.
Using Richard as his puppet once again he proves that the man had been there and that his wife
had murdered him for the money.

The epilog has Rachel pleading for her dad to help her find the "missing" Jimmy Kudo; Richard is
hesitant though because with Jimmy gone now he's top dog in the detective biz! Laughing

Monday saw episode 9 of season 2 of UFO Princess Valkyrie dubbed. Not bad but the original Japanese is a lot better for this one. I watched this particular episode because it was the introduction
of Akidra and I always get a kick out of Akina and Hydra tearing each other's stuff up so that they can
    fuse! Laughing

Tuesday episode 9 of Brynhildyr in the Darkness, so the new girl is Nanami and she has the power to manipulate memories. It turns out it doesn't work on Murakami since he has a photographic memory.
Nanami can also use it to control other Witches as seen by how she turned Kuroha against
Kotori and Murakami. In the end though she relents when she reads both Kuroha and Murakami's
minds and realizes they want to help her.

Yesterday re-watched the Detective Conan movie: Captured in Her Eyes. I hadn't watched it dubbed before so was really interested in how Ai would sound in English. Not bad and interesting that in the North American version she's known as Vy! Nice way of rhyming it! Laughing
I loved her teasing of Conan. I also love Richard and Conan's reaction when Richard's ex decides she'll cook dinner for them.
The one thing I got confused about was the actual villain. It looks like I conflated the killer with the
reporter since the shooting happened in the women's room.
    Ah! Well!

Monday watched episode 10 of Humanity Has Declined this episode goes back and reveals "Watashi" 's first attempts at contacting the fairies as the new mediator between the New and
Old Humanity. It gets rather silly as they wind up thinking of her as a Goddess. She finally disabuses them of the idea by playing catch with them and declaring only one person at a time can be "God".
But once a person has been "God" they can't be it again. Laughing

Tuesday watched episode 10 of Brynhyldr in the Darkness this starts off sadly as they are unable to stop Nanami's beacon from being activated. However before she dies they all say that they want to be her friends which is what she wanted. She also erases everyone's memories of her but Murakami and her spirit tells him before disappearing that she will always be a part of him and that she's left information about the lab in his head.
The rest of the story is about the gang getting ready for exams and then the obligatory trip to the beach where Kuroha looses her bikini top in the surf.
The ending introduces one of their most dangerous enemies: an S class Witch, who is shown to have killed all her A class handlers.

Note: This episode has a line that is pure Kuroha, after she comes in at the top of the class in
grades she turns to Murakami and announces in front of everyone what she wants her award to be:
"I want some virginity too!" Laughing
This is because Kazumi had announced in front of the rest of the Astronomy Club that if she passed she wanted to have Murakami's virginity.

The reason why Kuroha's statement works is because of her total naivity in what she's saying.
(I think she thinks it's something like ice cream.)

Wednesday saw the second half of Mardock Scrambled it takes off right where the first part ends. Later Rune Balot is taken by Dr. Easter to a sanctuary site called "Paradise" where she meets a new friend named Tweedledee. Tweedledee is a young gay boy who shows Rune around and introduces her to his "boyfriend" who happens to be a dolphin.
The interlude is interrupted when the bad guys invade "Paradise" looking for Rune.
She and Dr.Easter escape and later go to a casino where Rune has learned the memories of the
Big Bad are being kept in chips. While there she befriends the woman who is spinning the roulette
    wheel.

Thursday episode 15 of Devil Lady this is an Kazumi episode as much of the action is from her pov.It is also the episode that she finally learns that Jun was indirectly involved in the death of her parents and finally realizes that Devil Lady and Jun are one and the same. It's one of the most chilling episodes to date. The title is Crows and it pretty much sticks to that title.
Also the creepy Beast Boy makes a return being even more creepy as he meets with Kazumi in front of her old home.

The replacement order was sent out by Rightstuf on Friday so hopefully it comes in this week.

Friday saw Ikki-tousen:Dragon Destiny OVA 3 this was a brief episode with Goei making the girls cosplay. Kan-u in a bunny girl outfir FTW!
And poor Hakufu and Ryomou also got dragged into it. The best part was there was a in-joke about
Inoue Kikou being "just 17"! Laughing
Yeah they went with that gag since she plays Goei.

Saturday episode 21 of Angelic Layer the kids head for the beach where they bump into
Icchan and company. Shoku is still shy about meeting her daughter so makes an excuse to go home
early. When they're eating lunch everyone notices how Misaki and Shuko's lunches not only look but also taste the same.
Later Ohijiro takes Misaki for a walk and Kotaro gets jealous. Tamayo runs after him but falls in the sand and then confesses her love to a surprised Kotaro.

Sunday episode 9 of Trinity Blood dubbed. This follows what happened the last few episodes in Barcelona and so Father Abel is still in mourning. Caterina suspects her uncle of being behind the plot but can't prove anything.

Finally 3.33 and Lupin The Third Vs. Detective Conan:The Movie arrive. The second time was the charm! Very Happy

Monday re-watched Ranma 1/2: Big Trouble in Nekonron China, it always cracks me up when it comes to the scene where female Ranma declares that Akane is her fiancee and she gets the response: "But aren't you a woman too?" to which Ranma does a double take of her boobs and
Akane says:" Ranam you dummy!" Laughing

Tuesday episode 11 of Brynhlydir in the Darkness. This one finally introduces Hatsune, after hinting since the first OP,se finally get to see her. Her ability is healing and she shows it off the cuff by coming whole after Valkryia as killed the As that were sent to watch her. This also establishes the fact that not all the Witches are familiar with each other as Hatsune seems to know everyone except Kotori.
Her attempt to test Marukami though almost ends in disaster,if not for Kanna's latest prediction and
    Kotori using her ability,
Finally all that fanservice pays off as Kotori's accidentally ripping off Kohura's blouse in front of everyone reveals that Kohura is indeed Kuroneko!
    And now Kuroneko vs. Valkyria!

Comment: So Kogoro can replicate the pills it's just that another month may be too late.

I finished the Mardock Scarmbled Movie Trilogy on Wed. Really good. If you like cyberpunk, especially titles like Ghost in the Shell and Armitage The Third you should pick it up and
check it out if you haven't already. But get the complete collection set, since otherwise you will have to spend the time tracking down and buying all three separately. You really need to see all three to
    get what's going on.

Thursday episode 16 of Devil Lady dubbed. Satoru sends a Chameleon Beast to pretend to be
Kasumi while another one attacks the city. Maeda arrives just in time to help and encourages Jun
while he fights the chameleon. Later he shows Jun the message from Kasumi where she tells her
that she realizes now Jun only wants to protect her.

Comments: Satoru's name is only given in the credits but not the actual series.
The dub is actually one of the better ones to come out of the '90s.
The kiss between Jun and "Kasumi" doesn't count since it was the way the Chameleon
Beast delivered it's poison to paralyze it's victims.
    Asuka isn't in this episode.

Friday watched the fourth part of the Hot Springs OVA for Ikki-tousen:Dragon Destiny. It was basically meh, since the whole four minutes was Goei having the girls do a version of rock, paper, scissors where everyone ended up getting naked. I think next time I'll skip it.

Saturday episode 22 of Angelic Layer the fall out of Tamoya's confession to Kotora and also the start of Misaki versus Ohijro in the semi-finals. It's going to be interesting to see what she and Hotako can come up with to compensate for Wizard's barrier.

Sunday episode 10 of Trinity Blood. The AX team has to stop the Silent Noise without the help of Father Abel, who finds himself having a moment of crisis has to save Rome and Lady Caterina
he has to face the temptation to break his vow not to kill.

Monday watched episode 2 of I"s Pure. Itsuki surprise Ichitaka by temporarily moving in with
his family and Iori is surprised when she sees them together. Later on the class trip Iori insists that she and Ichitaka take a walk under the torii of a local Kyoto shrine while holding hands; but when
Ichitaka gets an emergency call about Itsuki's apartment burning down, Iori tells him that Itsuki
was the one who encouraged her to take the walk with him.

Tuesday episode 12 of Brynhlydr in the Darkness now only the finale and OVA to go.
Things are looking dicey as Hatsuna dies saving Murakami, Kanna is left alone with a drasil about to hatch from Hatsuna's dead body, Kotori revealed to be 1107 and holding the grane that will probably
destroy the world.and a whole new set of players called The Hexagderd(or something like that.
Oh and also Valkyria discovers that Ichikju doesn't really care for her but only for himself and his dead sister Rane.

Also it's revealed that Valkyira's real name is Mako and she doesn't want to kill Neko.

Wed. episode 1 of Moribito since this is the first time watching the entire series, once I get past episode 7 it will be all new to me. It's always interesting to see how naive the Second Queen
is about life outside of the palace.

Th. episode 17 of Devil Lady. Jun is taken to HA HQ and basically treated as a prisoner.
Meanwhile in Colorado Asuka oversees the destruction of an entire town infected by the Beast
    Virus.

Finished with Brnhyldr in the Darkness the OVA takes plave right after Hatsune joins the gang and so Kotori/Rena is still alive. Most of it takes place in Kazumi's perverted mind and consists of a contest between the girls to see who will be Marikuma's 'wife'.

Tonight will finally get around to watching Neon Genesis Evangelion 3.33.Also tommorrow will start what I have of RWBY.

And the exciting news now is our favorite Demon Cat Girl Slayer will offically be released on DVD
in November: Omamri Himari! Cool Cool
Great Fun and Need To Get ( and as Shizuku might add}you know!

Finally saw EVA 3.33 on Monday. Although it's called: You Can (Not) Re Do
I think a better title would be: Shinji-Wakes-Up-After-14-Years-And-Finds-Out-He-Almost-
    Destroyed-The-World-With-The-Third-Impact-Goes-Batshit-Crazy-Nearly-Destroys-The-World-

    And-Asuka-Reaches-Epic-Levels-Of-Tsundereness

ok that be too long to work though! Laughing Laughing Laughing

Tuesday I saw RWBY but was confused as to where to stop as there was no credits to
indicate where one chapter/episode started and another started.
Despite that U really enjoyed it.

I re-watched Maetel Legend the last two Sundays. Does anyone know where in
Galaxy Express 999 this might take place? As it seems to me it's Maetel telling her story
to the main character in that anime,so it appear to be early on?

I also went and checked on the episodes for RWBY so I can better tell when the proper turn off point is. I made a note of the length of each episode and the combined times of each couple of episodes. I also made a note of when each second episode ends.
For example for the first two it ends when Ruby meets the baddies but doesn't know who they are.

Ok,with all that said tonight is Dual night and my last Sub/Dub night. Next week I switch
things around and make Mondays Raw nights.

Monday I re-watched Dual episode 13 dubbed. It was the first time I had seen the dub in a long
while. I mis-remembered MS's last line in the episode and always thought it ended with the word:
Wonderful. But when I re-watched it I was surprised she actually said Great in the dub.
And now one of these days I have to re-watch the sub to see what she says there.

Tuesday re-watched the first two episodes of vol.2 of RWBY. Now that I know where the
stopping points are it's easier and I was more relaxed this time not freaking out about wondering where the OP and ED were.
That food fight is still pretty epic!
Favorite overall line in the first two episodes:
"Hello! Have you met Blake?!" Yang to Weiss when Weiss is trying to get Blake to tell them why
    she's acting so weird.

Re-watched episode 21 of Devil Lady in English yesterday. This is one of the saddest episodes
followed by next week's. I think you can tell that Kasumi had enough of humanity, but the brutal murder of Chika in front of her just put her over the edge.
Then when Satoru's female lieutenant kidnaps her for bait against Jun and she wakes up and sees
Satoru's subjects torturing Jun....I think that's the straw that broke the camel's back.
At that point she wasn't thinking rational any more; she just wanted to rescue Jun and out of there.
The line that describes Kasumi's state of mind comes right when Chika dies:
" I Don't Want To Be Human Anymore! I'd Rather Be A Beast!"
I have to wonder if Kasumi had lived through at least episode 22 if Jun would have been as willing
to take the risks she later does to destroy Asuka.

Saturday and Sunday I started re-watching Puella Magi Madoka Magica and Blassreiter
respectively dubbed. I think from episode 1 of Madoka I shall keep my top 5 favorites the way I have it.

Monday was my first Raw Day since switching things around and so I saw episode 3 of Rozen Maiden.

Tuesday watched episodes 3 & 4 of RWBY and found out that if you select Chapter instead of
Scene Selection it works better since you get the OP and ED that way.

Friday episode 5.5 of Angel Tales: Goro and the girls start to settle into normal or what passes for normal life. The girls decide to do some redecorating...much to Goro's chagrin. Laughing

Saturday episode 2 of Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Mami starts her mentoring of Sayaka and
Madoka into all things Magical Girl. FWIW I liked the sub version of what she says when the Witch has her hanging upside down as it turns out to be totally ironic considering what happens next.
In the dub Mami says: " I wouldn't want to look uncool in front of my juniors." but the sub translates
it as: " I wouldn't want to die in such an uncool way in front of those who are my magical girl
    juniors."

Btw: Having seen it prior in Japanese Madoka's question to Homura about her wish is really worth
watching for Homura's look as she walks away.

Sunday episode 2 of Blassreiter: I thought Gerd was around for a bit longer, or maybe I'm
remembering it wrong. Any way Amanda has her second confrontation with Joseph.

Watched episode 12 of Madlax raw on Monday. The scene where Limelda and Madlax have their
fight is cool, especially where they twirl and catch their guns in the air.

    Tuesday watched episodes 5 & 6 of RWBY. This centers around the Big Dance. Blake doesn't want to go but Yang gets her attention by using a laser pointer (catgirl much Blake? Laughing }
After she got her attention Yang tells Blake about her and Ruby's childhood.

Later to everyone but Yang's surprise Blake shows up to the dance.

Wed. saw episode 7 of Moribito this is the farthest I've ever been before since I only had the first two volumes, but now that I have the entire series it's on to unfamiliar territory. Very Happy
The scene where Chagnum tells Balsa and Tanda he wants to strike off on his own is sweetly funny,
because they realize he's too naive to make it by himself.
I really liked the scene where Balsa shows Chagnum how to work the water mill. That was fun and interesting to see the workings of the old mill.
Next week it looks like we get to meet Balsa's old mentor.

Thursday episode 23 of Devil Lady things are finally beginning to wind down to the conclusion.
We get to see the fates of several of the characters played out including Maede and Satoru(whose
ultimate fate we don't see really until episode 25 or 26). Maede finally confronts Asuka and they have a shoot out (guess who loses).
The final scene shows Jun fleeing Tokyo and dreaming that she's back home with her grandfather.

Friday episode 6 of Angel Tales. I think Midori is supposed to really be a tanuki(racoon dog)
and not a raccoon. I think this is why they have her going shopping with Akane since there's a
saying in Japanese about tanuki and foxes.
Any how this is the one where the girls discover that the cook at a local ramen shop is really a retired
angel. It's a fun episode, especially when Akane and Midori really do think there are foxes and
    tanukis in the stew! Laughing
Let us pray for all the dead tanukis and foxes who gave their all!...actually very sweet scene.

Saturday saw the infamous episode 3 of Madoka. Anyone who has seen it before knows what I'm talking about here: the death of Mami. I think mulling it over it really was her own pride that did
Mami in as by that point she would only see Homura as The Enemy and not someone who might have
some good advice to give. I mean...geez...how many times now as Homura seen this particuliar
    event occur by now?
Afterwards to get over it I had to re-read the spoof of that scene in vol. #1 of Homura-Tamura at the end of which Mami recovers(unlike the anime)and Madoka and Homura
    have the following dialogue:
Madoka:" I wish you would stop underestimating the power of the health rep.
Homura(thinking):"What kind of special ability is that ?!"

Sunday episode 3 of Blassreiter:The episode pretty much explains it all as the Demoniac
virus jumps from just inflicting the dead to now the living.Gerd's ex Jill shows more of her two facedness and Gerd's ex friend finally turns into a Demonaic.
Elea finally makes her first appearance and she gives Joseph (who finally gets his code name of
Blue in this episode)several pieces of her mind(not bad for someone who is really a hologram!
Also Amanda has to deal with problems at home with her brother Malek.
Also the religious aspects of the show are starting to ramp up a bit as we see Joseph carver yet another Madonna and also Malek is beat up by some creeps who put a 666 on his right hand before
    Joseph shows up.

So I got shipping confirmation just now from Rightstuf that my latest order has shipped.
this means I finally get to see all of xxxHolic plus add to what I have of You're Under Arrest and finally Gunslinger Girl (I already have volume 1 of manga for the latter.)

Monday I watched Wedding Peach raw. Despite what the haters say it do have its moments.
The episode I watched was the one where Daisy gets her power up.

Tuesday episodes 7 & 8 of RWBY. The baddies use the dance as a diversion for infiltrating
the military post. But Ruby accidentally comes upon it.
In episode 8 the First Years are assigned the task of following a Hunstman or Huntress around.

Also Ruby and Yang get a surprise- their pet dog- from home and Blake goes into 'Cat Mode' (tm)
    again. Laughing

I love it when she does that!

    Alderamine in the Sky
looks like a LoGH esque show but I doubt it will go as far or as complex.

Don't see many good ones around.

Beserk finally got a season 2. Well, I was impressed at the new arc a decade ago when the manga introduced it. The anime is a bit abridged and looks better due to animation. Can't say about the story part yet. I hope it doesn't become weird/senseless like the manga.

    Brooderhood Final Fantasy XV
This is killing the franchise. Boring and directionless. I predict it won't last long.

Looks like some fans are doing the classic Lensman anime translation project.
